Various types of trauma can impact children, and although diverse, they share a commonality in leaving an imprint on the brain that influences children's development. Fleeing war or leaving one's home is a traumatic experience that leaves a profound and enduring impact, often resulting in lifelong trauma. Children affected by such experiences require support and assistance.
Based on our methodology, together with social workers, we provide playful development sessions for children in several refugee camps.
We organise after school sessions, pre-school and summer camps for them, among other activities. with the aim of decreasing the impact of the horrors of war and displacement on refugee children.
Our goal is to assist them in avoiding developmental and behavioral problems. It is therefore important to provide them with a safe, developmentally supportive environment and programmes.
