Making Development Visible through Play and Observation

and Observation The NestingPlay Academy teacher training is designed for preschool and primary school teachers who want to better understand their students and build a solid foundation for their growth. The core of our training is about observing children — not only during free play, but also in everyday learning situations.

In the preschool module, teachers learn how to gently watch children develop through play and how to use what they see to support individuals or groups. This module focuses on helping educators become more aware and intentional about noticing those small signs that can show developmental traits or difficulties.

In the school module, teachers learn how to use their observations to support classroom work—such as differentiating, creating a safe and inclusive environment, or helping students improve their attention, self-control, and learning skills using sensory tools and techniques from the Sensory Program.

During the training, teachers will:

• be given practical tools for everyday observation,
• learn how to use play and active learning effectively,
• be given a toolkit to recognize and support sensory needs,
• will be able to adapt the learning environment to the different needs of children,
• strengthen their own role as supporters of children's development
